My Story:)

I am Sydney Cope, born and raised in Dallas, Texas with a hint of Los Angeles, California. Growing up in a small town North of Downtown Dallas, I was able to find my passions during my youth which have led me to where I am today. My supportive parents recognized how much of a challenge it was to keep me still when I was younger. That initiated my Mother to sign me up for a dance class at the age of two years-old as a distraction to let out some energy. This “distraction” escalated into an addiction that has carried on into the present day. From exploring a variety of dance studios and styles, traveling for conventions, teaching and choreographing, and dancing for television, I continue to find diverse ways to incorporate everything I've learned throughout both current and future projects! The love for dance developed into a love for music, which initiated the exploration in both singing and songwriting! My training began at a small Music Academy close to my neighborhood, and over the years made more connections to grow both my voice and songwriting abilities. Performing has always come naturally, and I think my family has a big influence on that asset. With more curiosity and interest in the arts, I developed a love for film and television which led me out to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams. Living temporarily for several months at a time with my Mother in California was definitely an adjustment, but I do not regret any second of making that decision to explore! Turning seventeen allowed me to be out there independently to train and gain more experiences, until covid hit and brought me back home. Over that time spent inside, I was able to dive more into music and become more involved in creating content with a story behind it. “The Sounds” is my first EP to be released, and it is also very vulnerable with emotions that were inspired over 2020. Excited to continue to create as I start a new chapter of my college career studying Digital Filmmaking and Media Production this Fall. I strive to be better every day, and improve as much as I can in everything that I encounter. Excited to see what all life has in store, and excited for more projects and adventures to come.
